What is on my mind. A 350 mile expensive as heck lie by an admissions rep. You see I came to Dallas and Westwood College on the note that I would be getting into a game design program. They said it would be here in January 09. I have been informed by the campus president that it isn't even a proposed degree plan for my campus. They have it in other campuses thousands of miles away. I am way in the hole on this school and have found that for the price of 1 term at Westwood I could get a degree in Game Design from a better accredited school just up the street from my apartment.

My stupid self signed up for the school run loan as well as regular student loans, the school loan is a supremely high interest rate. I am torn as to whether I should drop out and bite the bullet with my school and apply at the other one where they have what I travelled 350 miles and committed myself to thousands in debt for, or go through may and be untransferrable and think of moving to Chicago, Denver, or L.A. to continue dumping tons of money on a school that lied to me. My accreditation won't transfer because it is National and not Regional so I don't even know if the 3.5-4.0 grades I have been making are even worth it.

I left my family and friends to be here, but I have my inlaw family that I really enjoy a ton here and have made some new friends and started a sketchclub analog group from the group I feel tugged by every saturday night. Going to a real school, even a community college that offers what I am here for would make it worth it.

I hear there is a class action lawsuit for fraud against the Dallas and Ft Worth campuses, anyone know how to contact that group. I want in and I want what I now owe the school back + some for time and the cost of the degree I was promised I was here for. Next term starts on October 13, and I don't know when the next semester at Richland College starts. If I can talk them in to my math counting, as well as my psychology and other general education courses, I may be more happy about the situation. Changing schools will make me close in on 30 for graduation.

My wife is graduating in the next week from the same school, but with what she came for, Graphic Design, which is where I was put to wait out the gap for game design. I want to make games, it is a goal of mine that has festered since I was a kid playing Atari.

Any helpful information or anything would help make me feel like less of a dead weight failure that has just wasted a year in a lie. By the way, it was just in the last week I found out that the program isn't even proposed.
